Adobe Garamond is a serif typeface designed by Robert Slimbach as Adobe’s first historical revival. It interprets Claude Garamond’s roman types and Robert Granjon’s italics, keeping the balance of those models while working as a contemporary digital family. Released in 1989 as an Adobe Originals design, it became a staple of desktop typography and was later reissued as Adobe Garamond Pro for OpenType. The family includes Regular, Semibold, and Bold, each with a matching italic.
