Calibre Font

Calibre is a neo-grotesk sans serif by Kris Sowersby, released by Klim Type Foundry in 2011. Inspired by lettering on West Berlin street signs, it starts from engineered geometry that is unusually elegant and clear, then tempers those tendencies with optical correction. Rationality from Nebiolo’s Recta gives it a contemporary, crisp finish. Designed alongside Metric, Calibre shares that family’s fundamental geometry but differs in the finish of key letterforms. The family runs to fourteen styles, Thin through Black with matching italics.
