Founders Grotesk is a contemporary amalgamation of classic grotesks by Kris Sowersby, released by Klim Type Foundry in 2010. Millar & Richard’s early twentieth-century Grotesque series supplied its rudimentary geometry, serpentine curves, and narrow apertures, with further details from H. W. Caslon’s Doric series of the same era. Those forms are coupled with the tight spacing of Helvetica’s Halbfett headline-sized metal cuts from the late 1950s. It is not a strict revival, but a large family for modern typography, running from Light to Bold with matching italics.
