Whyte Font

Whyte is a contemporary grotesque filled with idiosyncrasies and character, issued in two distinctive subfamilies. Whyte has smooth and sharp transitions; Whyte Inktrap has ink traps at its joints. Ink traps were necessary in the hot-metal era to improve printed text; here, variable-font technology lets users deepen or shorten them for the first time, sliding from deep wells to shorter cuts and turning a once-functional device into a design detail.
