Times New Roman Font

by Monotype

Times New Roman is a serif typeface commissioned in 1931 by The Times of London from Stanley Morison and the Monotype Corporation, after Morison had written an article criticizing the newspaper for being badly printed and typographically behind the times. Supervised by Morison and drawn by Victor Lardent, it was conceived as a new text face and released by Monotype in 1932.
