Fakt Font

Fakt is a functional sans serif by Thomas Thiemich, released in 2010 as his second commercial typeface after the humanist Alto. Unlike Alto's 1990s character, it looks back to Neue Haas Grotesk / Helvetica and Futura, joining grotesk and geometric traditions not by interpolation but with a stylistic toggle that subtly recasts letterforms as Helvetica-like or Futura-like and changes the typeface's mood. Each setting is treated as a complete, balanced design. Ten roman and italic weights are built around three widths, with an extended thin range that includes Air, and the design sits in a superfamily with Fakt Slab, Soft, Stencil, Slab Stencil, and Mono.
